I have no credit through any businesses. But I have had a checking account in good standing with the same bank for 1 year. I have no money in savings and rent an apartment. I need a car. What should I do?

Yea the last of the little guys w/ no overhead. I bought my lst automobile through there new start program cause of credit at 9% In house,I traded it back and got 3500 towrds a 06′Suzki XL -7in great shape but am realizing that not only was the automobile sold to me for too much but also that at 18% w/ the new loan I will be super upside down in a yr. should I try getting an older automobile and roll the appx 2500$ immediate loss after consignment into a new loan, or just tuff it out ?Is there a descent automobile dealer out there? that I can speak to?

I had a automobile accident that was not my fault, the insurance company Say Farm just pay me the actual value of my automobile but i was up side down in my automobile loan, we both have full coverage i do not know what to do , what happens if i get the money that they are offering me to buy other automobile and stop paying my other loan?

Options for down payment to refinance my car?
I would like to refinance my loan on a 03 Monte Carlo that is currently at $ 13,800 with approx 48 months left. Interest is at 15.5% (Outrageous) I know with $ 440.00 monthly payments (No credit history at time of purchase with a friend as cosigner resulting in high interest). I would like to refinance but on Kelly Blue Book the automobile value is at 10350.

I know I have to put money down but right now I can only put down 2000 which would still leave the bank giving me more than it is worth which seems to always get shot down.

What would you guys advise to do? I have thought about opening a credit card and putting the difference on the card in order to get a low APR and save a bunch of money on interest from the automobile loan but am not sure if there’s other ways that I have not looked at.

My credit score hovers around 700 if that matters.

To Alfred: Thanks for your answer, or comment rather. Even though this is something that I am not struggling to pay it would have just been nice to lower the interest, I am still going to pay 440 a month.
