CAN A PERSON GET A CAR LOAN WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD OR LINE OF CREDIT?

Can a person get a automobile loan without a credit card or line of credit?
I have no credit through any businesses. But I have had a checking account in good standing with the same bank for 1 year. I have no money in savings and rent an apartment. I need a car. What should I do?

Hi,
You should speak with your bank manager, if anyone it would be them as your ideal bet. Some used automobile dealers will probably get you a loan through their bank but anticipate high interest rate.

You should pick up a book by Suze Orman “The Money Book for the Young, Fabulous, & Broke. I HIGHLY suggest reading it. It has a lot of good info. It will answer most of your questions. In chapter 1 of the book, she talks about how important your credit score is. FYI…in this economic times, the banks looks at you credit score and determine if the bank would consider loaning you the money you need. There are other factors involved, but if you score is low; you will get a letter in the mail stating you were denied. The letter will not explain the reason, you will have to go to the bank and have the loan officer explain why. At that point, you should ask yourself “Is there any way I can improve my score?” Suze Orman explains it all in this book.
A lot of people believe “It takes money to make money.” That is not true, It is educating yourself is what makes money. That is almost always FREE. Another book you should read is books by Robert Kiyosaki. If you want a way out, reading is the key to success. Read all you can about finances. It is not what is thought in schools that kills us financially. These books educate you on those missing subjects.

I know this is a lot of info, but read the Suze Orman book FIRST. You will know what to do….
