How to get out of a BADDD Auto Loan?
So I moved to California a while back and I have been back home for about 4 months now, while I was there I got myself into a bad automobile loan. (Young and stupid).. they gave me a huge interest rate, almost the highest one they have. The automobile is a 2000 and is only worth like 7,000 but I owe about 10,000 (again, young and stupid). I make descent money (bout 35,000/year) and I have superior then average credit. I have applied for refinance through BOA, Capital One and everything else on the web and got declined for everything I was wondering how to get rid of this bad loan or get rid of this automobile and get myself a new one!!!

I need some details on how this process works. My credit rating is about 569. This means I will pay out the you know what for a automobile loan. I have been looking at used and new. I can get a new 2008 Hyundai Elantra with the Preferred Package for $ 15,000.00 flat with taxes, titles, etc. all included. But my interest will be very high and that will kill me. So, I want to use my father to co-sign on the loan. I want to go through our credit union for the loan (they give 5.5% right now). I need to know how this works though. If we do the on the web application, will it just take the higher of the 2 scores and use that to approve the loan, or is my score going to ruin this idea? I have heard both scenarios; that they will pick the higher score and use that to approve the loan, and someone else said that they will average the 2 scores together and use that. Please provide me with any information you may have on this. Thank you in advance.

I need to refinance my auto loan it is currently through wells fargo, and WOW they are ridiculous! Every month ieither send in my payment, make it by phone or pay it online, and every month they are calling about the payment. I have to send them proof that it was paid. I comprehend that everyone can make a mistake but this company is just stupid! So i want to refinance my loan with another company. Know of any great ones? I would like to have a company that will only call if the payment is actually late, and not just missplaced by one of their workers.

I have an SUV that I owe $ 20K but worth approx 11K. Looking to get a sedan. Was told by an auto dealer a high line car would work. I just wanted to know if I had any options if any. My credit is 510 score. I do not have much of a downpayment, just $ 500. I have been approved at several places but they require a high downpayment normally of about 3K. I would like to know if there are any dealerships that would work with someone in my situation. I obviously will keep the car if I cannot get out of it.

i am a first time buyer, however i have some stuff on my credit (gym membership, cable bill, & medical) on my credit that gives me a pretty bad score. Where can i find a TRUSTED bank that will work with bad credit & first time buyers without a co-signer?
yeah i know it was stupid of me not to pay those little things off, but at the time i was 18 years old & in a bad place with my financial situation.. they marked them as a “refuse to pay” when i didn’t, it is just that i didnt have the money to pay them right when they wanted it. i’ve never had parents who can instruct me how to handle my money & so instead of lecturing me about how i should have paid those, please just help me with finding a loan. i have a good job now so its not like i cant pay it.. & i do not have the option not to buy a car, because the one i have is breaking down on me a little more everyday.

Is it possible to be refinance an auto loan after a few months of on time payments to lower intrest rate?
I was financed with bi-monthly payments of $ 179 and an intrest rate of 29%. I was told that if I focus on making these payments on time, it can actually improve my credit score. Then if I can save, say, another $ 1,000 to put down later and then refi, that could also change the high intrest rate and improve my score even more?
My credit is horrible… I am working on fixing that now. Buying a clunker is not an option. Seeking answers from financial professionals.
