I am going to be going through chapter 7 bankruptcy next month (November). My automobile has 70,000 miles and it is five years, and four months old since I purchased it in 2001 (it had 13 miles when I bought it). If I keep my automobile for two and a half more years before trading it in, can i get a decent loan after filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy this november? My attorney told me that it would not hurt me that bad because I get a VA compensation and they can’t garnish my wages. Please help. And if I can get a loan, what kind of interest rate would it be?

I have a automobile in which i make all the payments.. my inlaw filed bankruptcy.. the account is now shown as shut on my credit report adn I am not getting credit for themontly payments I make.. is this what happens… is there anything I can do to get the account back open on my credit report?

In April of 2006 I bought a brand new Nissan.In the loan there was a negative rollover of $ 3,000, so the total amount of the loan ended up being $ 21,000. I have it paid down to $ 18,900 but I am finding the payments way out of my budget. The trade in value of the automobile is now only $ 11,500. What are my options? I really do not want to effect my credit score but I desperately want to get rid of my car.

Can a person get two automobile loans around the same time?
My mother just bought a new automobile a couple weeks ago. I bought a new automobile a couple days ago and I needed her to co-sign for me. Will she be able to have two loans? Will her being on my loan have a negative effect on her getting her own loan on her car? I am really new at this. It’s my first car, so please explain this to me. I am really worried that I ruined her chances of getting financed for her car.
