I’m 19 and in college and do not have a vehicle. I need to get to and from work this summer and am exhausted of having to ask for rides. I have a job, but have not had it long and no real established credit. I am also an independent (completely separated from my family because of things they’ve done) and have no cosigner. Is there any way I can get a loan for a automobile without a cosigner?

I need a automobile very badly, I need a reliable automobile since I drive to my college once a week. I want to get a student loan to pay for the car since I do not have the time for a job. I have 21-22 hours every semester. My parents are willing to cosign the loan, but I can’t start paying it off until I get out of college and get a job. I want a reliable used vehicle. If i file bankruptcy, can i still rebuild my credit without a automobile loan? I want to purchase a paid off automobile and get liability insurance. I still have a student loan and 2 credit cards, i’m planning to keep them to rebuild my credit. Will these get me to 700s after 2-3 years of paying on time?
